November 17, 2017

FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
November is a popular time of the year to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for in our lives.  At Blue Oaks, when I take a moment to think, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. I am thankful for the kind and respectful students who come to school each day and always strive to do their best. I am thankful for their families who love and support them.  I am thankful for the amazing Blue Oaks staff that goes above and beyond in order to guide our students’ learning each and every day.

Be sure to take a look at our newest Bears On Air broadcast to see what has been happening around Blue Oaks over the last month. We hope you enjoy seeing our activities in action!
Again, thank you for all that you do for your children and our school.  Enjoy your Thanksgiving Break! I hope you are able to spend time with family and friends and you are able to reflect on all for which we have to be thankful.

Mrs. Peterson

#ROSEVILLE ROCKS FUNDRAISER
Dear RCSD Community,

Beginning this week, the Roseville City School District Foundation is raising funds through #RosevilleRocks, a crowdsourcing campaign to help expand our District’s new music education program.  You may recall a similar effort last year, which resulted in raising more than $10,000 for the music education program.  The Foundation’s goal this year is to raise $15,000 prior to Thanksgiving!!!  If every family donated just $5 per child, they would more than meet their goal.
I encourage you to take five minutes, donate $5 and enrich the life of a child through music education. Please, visit the #RosevilleRocks link to donate today.. and don’t forget to share with your friends and family on social media!

The Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization whose mission is to enhance, expand, and enrich the education of each child in the District. Please click here to see our students and teachers engaged in RCSD music program.

Thank you,

Derk Garcia
Superintendent
